Overview
Diagrams let you build a visual, schematic representation of your equipment — a floor plan, an electrical single-line diagram (SLD), a process flow — and overlay it with live data from your devices, all directly within StatStream. The Advanced Diagram Design Canvas replaces the older workflow of uploading static diagram images, so you can create and edit professional diagrams in-platform without needing external design tools.
A diagram is made of two parts:
- The canvas — shapes, symbols, and images that make up the visual layout. Built using the Design Canvas.
- Placements — live data pinned to specific points on that canvas, such as a variable’s current value, a status label, or an action button. Configured under Placements.
Once built, a diagram can be viewed in a clean, read-only mode — ideal for a wall display or a quick status check.
